BIO

Levy was nicknamed “El Negro” by his first coach, who gave it to him because of his dark skin color and also because black is his favorite color. He wasn’t interested in MMA as a young boy, but at age 13, his dad put him in the Academy for MMA and he immediately fell in love with it. He respects and admires what UFC featherweight contender Yair Rodriguez is doing for UFC and hopes to find similar success. Outside of MMA, Levy likes to hang out with his friends, but prefers to be training if he’s not with his family. His entire family supports Levy for this fight, just as they have from the very beginning.

Levy is always training and when the chance to fight for Combate Americas was presented to him, he took it immediately. By his account, Mexico isn’t exactly booming with MMA promotions and to know Combate Americas focuses on Latino fighters is extremely motivating. Levy feels very honored to fight for them.
