Combate Americas today announced a new fight on the highly anticipated Tito vs. Alberto card, a flyweight clash between the Spanish Daniel Barez (11-4) and the American Joby Sanchez (13-5),  two of the top names in the 125 pound division.

Barez, a native of Valencia, Spain, comes from knocking out Ivan Hernandez Flores in his Combate Americas’ debut. The Spaniard is on a five win streak.

“I’m going to fight in the biggest night that Combate Americas will do this year and against a rival with a very high level,” Barez told ABC Newspaper of Spain. “I’m sure I’m going to win, I’m in my best moment. It’s going to be a real war in which, I repeat, I will be the winner. ”

In his last fight, Sánchez defeated the former bantamweight champion José Alday by unanimous decision in a 135 match-up. Sanchez will be returning to the division that has seen him become one of the best in the world.

The battle will be held on Saturday, December 7 from Payne Arena in McAllen, Texas. The main event will be in the hands of Tito Ortiz and Alberto “El Patrón” in what will be the most awaited clash of the year.
