A fighter who is synonymous of action, it is Ricky "El Gallero" Palacios, who has become one of the protagonists in Combate Americas, for the impetus that he shows in every fight, to get the long-awaited knockout.

The native of Mission, Texas, will again have a difficult challenge to overcome in the "Combate Clasico" event, where he will fight Chris Avila (5-4), an athlete whose most recent experience were two fights inside the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC).

Palacios comes from a split decision victory over Roman "El Gallito" Salazar in April, in a rather controversial decision, where "El Gallero" kept his streak of consecutive wins.

Everything indicated that Salazar, thanks to his veteran and experience in the maximum organizations of mixed martial arts, was going to take the victory; But as always, Palacios had something different in mind and was able to excel at the challenge.

Palacios is in an enviable streak of five consecutive wins, reaping laurels against Carlos Ricardo Díaz (KO), Benji Gómez (KO), Anthony Paredes (Split Decision), Brandon Royval (Unanimous Decision) and Román Salazar (Split Decision).

Palacios' winning streak is in danger, because he will face a tough opponent like Avila, who comes from consecutive defeats against Conor McGregor's pupil Artem Lobov and Enrique Barzola in the UFC circuit.

What is guaranteed is the show on July 27th, when combate warriors enter the cage to celebrate the "Combate Clásico" event at Mana Wynwood (Miami).

The main fight of the night will be led by Madrid's Javier Fuentes (9-5), who will clash with his Spanish counterpart Tommy Aaron (4-2) in a match that will precede "El Clásico" between Real Madrid and FC Barcelona in Miami.
