Since her last victory in October against Jenna Serio in "Combate Americas - Empire Rising". Female atomweight Paulina Granados is ready for a new fight and there's a tough challenge she would like to get.

Former spanish judo champion Vanessa Rico is one of the new singings by Combate Americas, and Granados considers that the European girl could be an interesting and hard challenge for her in the near future.

"Honestly, I would fight any of them, but if I can pick one (girl), I wanna fight Vanessa Rico", Granados said in an interview. "I know Kyra (Batara) backed out of that fight. I'll show up, I'll make weight and I'm not scared of anybody".

Vanessa Rico was scheduled to fight atomweight star Kyra Batara in Combate 11, celebrated last month in Burbank (California). Batara couldn't make weight, so the fight was cancelled. The battle between Erick "The Ghost Pepper" González and Danny Ramirez moved up as the main event.

Granados believes that Kyra Batara was in fact scared of the spanish fighter, so she backed out of the contest.

"She (Kyra Batara) was scared. I think the pressure got to her, she had so much pressure from Combate and I don't care what she says", Granados recalled. "I feel that was just an excuse to get out of the fight".

"We are professional fighters, we have 9-12 weeks to prepare for that moment to weigh-in, that's the first step of fighting", the atomweight added. "I've never missed weight in my career, not even as an amateur or when I was a power lifter".

Paulina Granados is in a two-fight winning streak and unbeaten in Combate Americas. Is Kyra Batara going to be her next opponent? There's nothing clear, but for sure, there's some real beef between the two atomweights.
